Android 15 Preview 1 Update: Every New Feature Explained
Haptics and Animation
In terms of user interface design, Google is already ahead of the curve thanks to their top-notch animations. However, in order to make them even more fluid, the corporation has chosen to revamp animations with Android 15. More so than before, the phone now gives you haptic sensation when you alter the brightness, and the feeling becomes stronger as you go higher.
In addition, the settings app gives users the option to disable keyboard haptics. Remember, this preference isn’t exclusive to Gboard; it works with any keyboard. With this in mind:
Go to the app called Settings
- To access the vibration and haptics features, go to the sound and vibration menu.
- Find the Keyboard Vibration option and turn it on or off.

Delay in Notification
Messages and alerts from apps may sometimes be rather intrusive, especially when we’re in the middle of a meeting or a lesson. There will be too many people staring at you when you go to your phone, unfortunately. With the new notification cooldown feature in Android 15, this won’t happen anymore. It will reduce the loudness when you get too many alerts from a single app or service.
Furthermore, users may choose to apply this option to both all alerts and discussions separately. Make this possible:
- Go to the app called Settings.
- To access the Notification Cooldown, go to the Notifications menu and scroll down.

- (3) Display the SDR/HDR ratio.
- Exactly what it sounds like, this function lets users determine the SDR/HDR ratio of images. Make this possible:
Go to the app called Settings
- To see the SDR/HDR ratio, go to the Developer Options and scroll down.
- Show SDR/HDR image with the new ratio setting

- Despite its lackluster sales performance, Google’s Pixel Fold was an important step in the company’s software development process for foldable devices. Android 15 continues this trend with a new “Continue Using the apps on Fold” option. With this function, users may choose which applications will keep running in the background even after they put the device down.
